In 2020 TriSMART and DecaGarage are teaming up to offer athletes a warm weather training camp in Lanzarote. The week long camp will offer athletes a fully structured and hands on camp based in the heart of the island.
The camp is ideally for Triathletes who have or are about to undertake some winter training and looking forward to raising their fitness leading into the season. However, we have had a few enquiries from cyclists and runners who are interested in single sport specific.
For many of you, you've probably never went on a camp or considered it before. We aim to keep the costs to a minimum to open it up to more people, with a broad mix of abilities.... Here's whats included: iety of abilities. read on....
When is it? - Saturday 7th March to Saturday 14th March 2020
Where will I stay? - Sands Beach 4*Resort
What will a typical camp day look like?
7.30am - 8.30am Pool Session
8.30am - 10.30am - Breakfast, get ready for biking
10.30am - 2.30pm - Bike Session - with Nutrition Stop (maybe a coffee)
3.30pm - 5pm - Run Session
5pm - 6pm - Stretching/Foam Roller/Info sessions on Nutrition/Race Prep
6pm onwards - Dinner and evening free.
What will get out of the Camp?
It really depends what you put into it. But initially you will get a fully structured week long camp with sessions on Swim, Bike and Run. Each day you will learn about the maintenance of your body, the importance of recovery, learn from your peers/friends. There will be opportunities for swim, bike and run analysis throughout the camp, opportunities to sit down 1-2-1 with coaches and discuss individual requirements and training.
Its an opportunity to lift your training to another level, focusing specifically on your season ahead.
Each day there will be recovery sessions, stretching and maintenance. There will also be discussions around Race Preparation, Nutrition, Annual Training Plans, Goal Setting and Race Strategies plus more
